The playful and versatile Stacko were a natural choice for the “Myths to Manga” exhibition at the Young V&A in Bethnal Green, London. Spanning four sections: Sky, Sea, Forest and City, the exhibition showcases the rich tapestry of Japanese mythology and folktales and its journey into Manga storytelling via fashion and culture. The modular display case lighting system of the Stacko proved perfect for lighting such a variation of pieces aimed at a lower- than- usual eye level. The Bakemono items in Ivory, Antler and precious metals are wonderful examples of this.
As well as the Stacko, Lighting Design Practice, Studio ZNA chose the Atto and Atto S for their discretion, functionality and ability to light intricate and multi focus objects such as the
Notice Tree by Yūken Teruya with a single beam. Other pieces to benefit from such lighting include the world-famous Tamagotchi and Hello Kitty plushies. “I love that the Stacko and Atto are being used together on this project as Stacko came about when we started to get amazing feedback from our clients about Atto. The Stacko is perfect for The Design Museum and Myths to Manga; It integrates seamlessly, it’s playful, expandable, precise. “William Huon, Designer of the Stacko and Atto, Industrial Designer at Precision by Luminii. “Myths to Manga” runs until August 2024, let us know if you spot our lights.
